3 SquaresVT/SNAP

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) offers nutrition assistance to millions of eligible, low-income individuals and families and provides economic benefits to communities. In fact, SNAP is the largest program in the domestic hunger safety net. The Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) works with key stakeholders in every state to ensure that those eligible for nutrition assistance can make informed decisions about applying for the program and can access benefits.

Crop Cash

Crop Cash is a double-value coupon program that promotes the purchase of fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs at farmers markets that accept 3SquaresVT/SNAP benefits. In essence, Crop Cash is an incentive dollar that is earned for 3SquaresVT/SNAP purchases for use on the future purchase of fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, seeds, and starts at the market.  Coupons are marked specifically to each Market and available year round. NOFA-VT manages this program.
