July 9, 2022 CCFM Board Meeting- APPROVED

Called to Order: 1:45 PM in person after market


  • Opinions offered regarding trailer but not present at meeting

  • Stan- for trailer Laney- for trailer, Hannah B- for trailer, Lee- for trailer, Ann- for trailer

  • 15.5k total from grant $. So far have spent ~4k (1.5k picnic tables, 2k Keri’s bonus, $500 benches) need to save some $ for meetings with Andy Robinson

  • Leaves us currently with 11.5k. Spending ~8k on a trailer leaves us with 3.5k leftover

  • Estimate to fix trailer ~1-3k. What is the trailers value?

  • Fixing requires a uhaul/storage unit to store stuff in meantime

  • Trailer must be towed legally + stored for winter voluntarily each year

  • Tables/benches immediate draw for customers to linger longer at market/ need to maintain the ones we have and look into more in future

  • New trailer helps alleviate relationship strains w/ BGS (wants lot neat and orderly)

  • New trailer must fit in designated parking spot + fit all market stuff including tables/benches

  • Randy motioned for purchase of new trailer for $8k that fits above requirements

  • Rose seconded. Vote ended with all yeses except Karen

  • Karen wanted a formal complaint put on record against Josh for not having uploaded minutes

  • What is the procedure for this? Randy will get in touch for an update

  • 6pm Thursday 21st 2 hr meeting at Red Hen? With Andy Robinson

  • To address over time: fundraising, long term location planning, roles of each board member, how grant $ can be spent, guidelines for market giving donations, 

  • News from Keri:

  • Board will revisit the marketing worksheet from Sara 

  • Keri will check signs around town; some had fallen

  • Corn roast is being planned

  • Umbrellas for picnic tables are a problem and wont be put up until new ones are secured

  • MHS is an option for thanksgiving she will submit an application to use space, no to grange for winter market, VCFA potential in convo, Connor Granite Shed in contact space not rented

  • Youth Vendor day application open for Aug 6. Makers Day 7/16. 

  • Brenda from 251VT (non profit to get ppl to visit more VT towns) asked for a gift certificate to the market for their fundraising raffle

  • John motioned. Krysta seconded. $25?
